Hi everyone, I hope you all are doing amazing. Currently, I am writing this blog wearing jacket and in pyjamas in bed, because it’s too cold in Bangalore.
I was really missing writing blogs and sharing what’s going around. Right after Diwali, I was on a vacation and right after vacation I was busy with my debut book launch. Yes, you heard that right. Drumrolls…….My book Wish You Were Single is out on Amazon. It’s my first book, I was working from last 1.5 years, my editor told me it was around 1,00,000 words that I have written. Ofcourse, the journey wasn’t easy, we faced so many challenges but together we made it.
Now, going back to the time when I started writing the book, it was in 2020 December that I came up with the idea and around 2021, July, I had almost written 7 chapters, with only two characters in my mind – my main protagonists – Aarohi and Samarth. Post that, I was really looking for some guidance as I am an avid reader but when you are writing it, you have to keep the reader’s mind aside and God listened to me and I found a mentor, she guided me.
Fast forward to 2022, June was the month we were all set to release the book, we faced some technical issue and I was heartbroken, but my editor said now that you have time, why don’t you go back and read the book again, I made changes again and we were ready to roll it post Diwali. I was on cloud 9 when I received the copy. I cried for 2-3 hours looking at my name on the cover of the book. I jumped and danced like a 5 year old kid, from writing my name in the word document to getting it printed on the cover of the book, it felt like I was living in some other universe and I was transitioned to some other world.
Why I am saying all these aloud, because, I want to let you know that you should never stop dreaming, even if you are facing thousands of challenges, one day you will shine, you will be a rockstar and you will be proud of who you are turning into. Do it for yourself, you never know you are inspiring someone, and secretly someone is admiring you and thinking that one day I will also be like this person.
The only thing I would say is that you all have always supported me by reading my blogs, please give a chance to my book, it will definitely take you on a rollercoaster ride.
